Here it is! The first Super Vamp comic! I am so excited to start this web comic. Super Vamp has been on my plate for over five years, so it is nice to finally reveal him.

In the future the comic will be a running story, but I wanted to start out with a clip that will show the main characters’ personalities. In the first panel you will see “Bat.” He is Super Vamp’s rude roommate but true blue friend. We all have a smart aleck friend like that, don’t we? He survives on junk food and soda, doesn’t work and sponges off of Super Vamp. He is also the only one who knows Super Vamp’s secret identity.

In the top right panel are Sister Mister and Father Water, Super Vamp’s arch enemies. Father Water is an evil alien that own practically all of Bleakville and is solely responsible for turning the city into a smog filled, monster infested cesspool. His sidekick, Sister Mister, is his bodyguard and nursemaid. She is a kung fu expert with a shoe fetish and is secretly in love with Father Water, though as an alien he is not the least bit interested in humans.

In the last panel you will see Betty Blueblood. She is Super Vamp’s innocent love interest. She swoons whenever she sees him. She also happens to be Super Vamp’s alter ego, Emo Globbin’s supervisor at the Bleeding Hearts all night blood bank. Although while at work she is too interested in her hair to know he is the same person. She still likes Emo Globbin, but mostly just as someone to help her move furniture.

Lastly there is Super Vamp himself. He is a warm hearted vampire but you do not want to make him angry. He always wants to be the good guy so is constantly at odds as to where to draw the line. He hates telling people what to do but sometimes the villains need to be taught a lesson. He is in love with Betty Blueblood but does not want to endanger her with the truth of his identity, so he woos her as Super Vamp and is her puppy dog as Emo Globbin. Either way he is happy to be with her. He is also a real klutz which will be fun to play with in future stories.

I am a self-proclaimed movie buff and plan to include plenty of movie spoofs in future strips. Keep an eye out for a “Spoof Alert” Icon. If you are a subscriber and can be the first to e-mail me the name of the movie that I am spoofing in that strip, you will win a piece of original black and white artwork from that strip. (I do everything in pen and ink first and then scan in and color it in the computer.)

I sin-cerely hope you enjoy this comic strip and please feel free to post your comments.
